A Survivor is Never Alone
To anyone who needs someone to help them, or to anyone who feels alone in this…

Please email SurvivorConfessions@aol.com; you’re not alone.  If you need to vent, if you want to tell your story, if you want to ask for advice, if you just want someone to listen, or if you just want someone to talk to, please do this.  What can it hurt?

But I’ve fought for so long and I’m so tired of fighting. I just want it to be done with. I don’t want to fight no more. I just want to give up.

sometimes they even initiated the experience. You have the right to change your mind. Being pressured to say yes doesn’t make you less of a victim. My friend was raped by her sister’s boyfriend and didn’t say no. And now she feels like she deserved it for not saying no.

Redefine your idea of rape…

When I was 8 years old, I was violently raped and beaten by my older brother. I'm 16 now, and none of my family believe me.

I’m so sorry, thank you for sharing your story!

If you need someone to talk to (and trust me, it’s one of the most helpful things you can do) there are so many things you can do! The worst thing is being treated like a liar when you put yourself on the line.  I have hotlines listed, and if you just want someone to talk to and relate with, you can always email me at SurvivorConfessions@aol.com

Pretty terrifying when you think about it.

To Any Survivor…

Welcome to the Survivor’s Confession blog.  I started this to give people who have been through any type of sexual assault a place to share their story, and confess their feelings.  I hope that by you sharing your stories, it will give people who are scared to come forward the courage to do so, too.  I’m also here to offer advice, help, and anything else you may need, but I would like to stress that I am not in any way a professional.  All of my advice will only be based on my experience.

Overall, I hope that if you have a story to share, that you try to share it.  You never know how your story may help somebody else going through the same thing.  And for those of you who haven’t shared your story with anyone, you might find that telling a stranger can be an extremely helpful first step.
